University of Colorado Boulder’s Media Archaeology Lab

The University of Colorado Boulder’s Media Archaology Lab has a motto that matches its goals. Its motto is, “The past must be experienced in process, not in place.” This slogan echoes the ideas of Berlin Fundus. To understand the epistemological value of a media technology, it must be experienced as it is being used. The University of Colorado Boulder’s Media Archaeology Lab is a public research space where visitors can play with media from decades past.
