This expansive nature park is filled with beautiful sights and sounds, and happy COS community members. We happen to be huge fans of the Fountain Creek Nature Center. Here at the Insurance Stops, most of our team members have been to the nature center at least once. We’re always excited to recommend the nature center to clients and fellow community members who have never been to the park. Because of this, we’ve put together a list of our favorite things to do at the Fountain Creek Nature Center. Hiking and Biking
If you love outdoor adventures, then you’ll love the Fountain Creek Nature Center! Whether you’re hiking or biking your way through the park, you’ll love taking in the crisp mountain air and the gorgeous Colorado scenery. The nature center has wide paths that snake through the best parts of the habitat. These paths are wide enough to support at least two separate lines of hiking and biking traffic, so you won’t have to worry about congestion slowing down your trip! So bring your friends, or bring the whole family, and traverse through the nature center on foot or on your favorite bike!
Fishing
The Fountain Creek Nature Center is the perfect spot for a quiet afternoon of fishing. The park is scattered with beautiful fishing ponds, all of which are stocked full of fish year-round. If you have a valid fishing license, you can fish at the Fountain Creek Nature Center whenever you’d like! Grab your favorite fishing buddies, teach the kiddos how to catch their first fish, or enjoy a solo fishing session on a Sunday afternoon. Either way, you’ll love fishing at the Fountain Creek Nature Center any time of the year!

Most people who visit the Fountain Creek Nature Center end up bringing their favorite snacks and sack lunches. It’s such a serene experience to sit beside the pond and enjoy a relaxing lunch with friends and loved ones.
